“Ghost Whisperer is an American television drama-fantasy-thriller that premiered on CBS September 23, 2005. The show was developed by Spiritual medium James Van Praagh and created by John Gray. It currently stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, David Conrad, and Camryn Manheim and Jamie Kennedy. Formerly Aisha Tyler and Jay Mohr were part of the regular cast. Ghost Whisperer airs Friday nights at 8/7c. It was announced in an interview by P.K. Simonds with E! Online that Ghost Whisperer will return for a 5th Season. It was CBS Productions’ final series before folding into CBS Paramount Television with the merger of Paramount Television for the second season in 2006 (the CBS Productions name would be re-activated in 2008 when 90210 premiered).
The show’s title is a reference to the main character Melinda Gordon (portrayed by Jennifer Love Hewitt), who lives in the town of Grandview, New York with her husband Jim (David Conrad), a medic from Mercy Hospital. The show is also one of several fantasy television programs about young women with gifts for supernatural communication such as the NBC show Medium, and canceled shows Joan of Arcadia, Tru Calling, 1-800-Missing, Wonderfalls and Afterlife.”…

“24 is an American serial action/drama television series. Broadcast by Fox in the United States and syndicated worldwide, the show first aired on November 6, 2001, with an initial 13 episodes (the next 11 episodes were later ordered). 24 is the second longest-running espionage series in television history, behind the original Mission: Impossible series by number of episodes and The Avengers by longevity of broadcast.
24 is broadcast in real time, with each season depicting a 24-hour period in the life of Jack Bauer, who works with the United States government as it fights fictitious terrorist threats to the United States. Bauer is often in the field for the Los Angeles Counter Terrorist Unit as it tries to safeguard the nation from terrorist threats. The show also follows the actions of other CTU agents, government officials and terrorists associated with the plot. The first six seasons of the show were all based in Los Angeles and nearby locations—both real and fictional—in California, although occasionally other locations have been featured as well—most notably, Washington, D.C., where a portion of the episodes took place during the fourth and sixth seasons. Departing from tradition, the seventh season is set primarily in Washington, D.C. Season 8 is to take place in New York City.
After leading actor Kiefer Sutherland won a Golden Globe for his role in the first 10 episodes, the ratings of the show increased, leading FOX to order the second half of the season. After six seasons, it was confirmed that FOX has ordered a further two seasons to be produced. A feature film based on the show has been written, with a working title of 24, and was scheduled to be filmed in 2007 for a 2008 release, but plans for production were put, and have remained, on hold to focus on the series.”…

“Lipstick Jungle is an American TV comedy-drama created by DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler for NBC Universal Television Studio. The hour-long series is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Candace Bushnell, who also serves as executive producer alongside showrunner/Head Writer Oliver Goldstick. The pilot was directed by Gary Winick. However, due to the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, only 7 episodes were originally produced for the first season. The first season also competed indirectly with ABC’s Cashmere Mafia, created by Bushnell’s former creative partner from Sex and the City, Darren Star.
On February 24, 2008, NBC ordered 6 additional scripts of Lipstick Jungle.
On April 2, NBC renewed Lipstick Jungle for a second season when they announced their Fall 2008 lineup. The second season premiered on September 24, airing at 10:00PM Eastern/9:00PM Central on Wednesdays. The series premiered on September 28, 2006, on ABC in the United States and Canada. The series is an adaptation of the Colombian telenovela Betty la fea (“Betty the Ugly One”), written by Fernando Gaitán (also author of Café, con aroma de mujer). It is adapted into a New York City setting by creator/developer Silvio Horta and co-producers Salma Hayek and Ben Silverman, whose production companies Silent H, Ventanarosa and Reveille respectively partnered with ABC Studios to create the hour-long program for the U.S. audience. Hayek has appeared on the show as Sofia Reyes, in addition to playing a cameo role as an actress on a fictional telenovela watched by the main character’s family in the pilot episode.
Ugly Betty has been renewed by ABC for a fourth season and will air on Friday nights at 9pm starting October 9, 2009 “…

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American supernatural drama series that aired from March 10, 1997 until May 20, 2003. The series was created in 1997 by writer-director Joss Whedon under his production tag, Mutant Enemy Productions with later co-executive producers being Jane Espenson, David Fury, and Marti Noxon. The series narrative follows Buffy Summers (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar), the latest in a line of young women known as Slayers. Slayers are chosen by fate to battle against vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. Like previous Slayers, Buffy is aided by a Watcher, who guides, teaches, and trains her. Unlike her predecessors, Buffy surrounds herself with a circle of loyal friends who become known as the “Scooby Gang”.
The series usually reached between four and six million viewers on original airings. Although such ratings are lower than successful shows on the “big four” networks (ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox), they were a success for the relatively new and smaller WB Television Network. Reviews for the show were positive,[4] and it was ranked #41 on the list of TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time as well as #2 on Empire’s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time. Buffy was also voted #3 in TV Guide’s Top 25 Cult TV Shows of All Time and included in TIME Magazine’s 100 Best TV Shows of All Time. It was nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe awards. The WB network ceased operation on September 17, 2006 after airing an “homage” to its “most memorable series”, including the pilot episodes of Buffy and its spin-off Angel.
Buffy’s success has led to hundreds of tie-in products, including novels, comics, and video games. The series has received attention in fandom (including fan films), parody, and academia, and has influenced the direction of other television series.”…
